Fabiana Rosales de Guaidó is the first lady of Venezuela, a journalist and a social media human rights activist. Since the start of the 2019 Venezuelan presidential crisis, Rosales assumed the role of international ambassador for the opposition, meeting with Bolivarian diaspora, regional leaders and the presidents of Peru, Chile and the United States to seek support for her country. As a human rights activist, she has close to 800,000 followers on Instagram as of January 2019. Rosales previously worked in Mérida state for a city council as a press officer and later held a similar position in Caracas. Rosales graduated from Universidad Rafael Belloso Chacín with a degree in journalism and social communications. She and her husband, President of Venezuela Juan Guaidó, married in 2013. Together, they have one daughter.
